By Leigh Bishop

Through eyes and lens

A fascinating look into the world of deep wreck diving through the eyes and lens of one of the most well-known shipwreck explorers of the technical diving revelation.
Deep wreck diver Leigh Bishop is well known for deep shipwreck exploration and has been on numerous expeditions documenting famous shipwrecks such as the Lusitania, Wilhelm Gustloff, Britannic, and the Gold Liner Egypt.
In this presentation he looks back through two decades of deep wreck exploration and has chosen his most exciting and memorable expedition moments, the most exciting shipwreck discovery’s, film making, the characters involved, and, but sadly, alongside memory’s that are best forgotten but come with the sport and have to be lived with.
He will share with the audience his favourite photographs to tell the story of one mans journey through one of the most dangerous but exciting sports in the world. Fighting against corrupt governments, crazy wreck owners, being locked up and even having guns pointed in your face, all in the name of shipwreck exploration. Take a look at colonial wrecks, massive Ocean liners, warships, treasure ships and listen to conspiracies, near death experiences and clandestine dives!
This presentation promises to delve deep into the world of deep wreck diving, an opportunity to taste what it’s like searching for and diving virgin shipwrecks and the people that make it what it is. Wreck diving at its highest level takes explorers to every far corner of the world in search of the next big find and with it comes some of the most exciting adventures. This is technical diving at its best and the journey it takes you on, the expected and the unexpected with of course a little humour added for good measure.
Surely a presentation that has been missing from diving enthusiasts, that is, until now.
